Jim and Jake McCarthy decided to set up this blog as a way to combine two things that Jake cares about: running 5k races and helping kids that need food, shelter, and education around the world. That's how he and I came up with the idea for Team Jake. Thanks to Gigi Johnson (fellow Anderson School alum), it does appear that there's going to be a short segment about Jake's running including some footage of the race on Sunday.
